Shallow

When you tell a girl she's special then 2 weeks later can't look her in the eye...

When you know who you love, but instead go find your satisfaction with someone who has said I love you to 1000 others...

When you say those lines as if they're nothing... and they are to you...

When right there standing in front of you is something real, something that could happen and someone who could love you more than she loves herself, but you walk away...

When you act like you don't love her, but everyone knows you do...

When you can't deny yourself a few hours of pleasure, just to be there for her when she needs you...

When you smile like everything's okay, when she's on the verge of crying...

When you buy her alcohol so she'll have sex with you...



... then you're not worth my time, then you're shallow, then you're missing out on what God intended us to experience... anything but shallow. But I still have to love you? I still have to sacrifice for you?
